All maintained school governing bodies and academy trusts have a legal duty to provide all of the governance information requested on this page in so far as it is available to them.

This will increase the transparency of governance arrangements. It will enable schools and the department to identify more quickly and accurately individuals who are involved in governance, and who govern in more than one context.

Delegated authority of local governing body

The Local Academy Committee (LAC) is accountable to the Trust Board. It helps guide the school's strategic direction at a local level and promotes high standards and educational achievement. While the Trust Board holds overall responsibility for the Trust and its governance, the Local Academy Committees focus on: - Standards - Community (the voice of pupils, families, staff and the wider community) - Celebration and collaboration - SEND and Inclusion - Safeguarding - Panel membership (exclusions, complaints, etc) Our Academy Committee Members are appointed in accordance with a robust governance recruitment process which gives assurance that the right people with the right skills and lived experience are contributing to governance in our Trust.
