All maintained school governing bodies and academy trusts have a legal duty to provide all of the governance information requested on this page in so far as it is available to them.

This will increase the transparency of governance arrangements. It will enable schools and the department to identify more quickly and accurately individuals who are involved in governance, and who govern in more than one context.

Delegated authority of local governing body

Each school has a dedicated LGB with two elected parents on each one. LGBs monitor key aspects of education including standards, safeguarding, SEND, skills and careers and stakeholder engagement. LGBs have delegated authority for hearing appeals related to complaints, exclusions and admissions appeals. LGBs work closely with the Board on other areas as detailed in the Trust's Scheme of Delegation and LGB Terms of Reference.
